SECURITY AND LOSS PREVENTION
FOR THE
PRIVATE SECTOR
International Police College Of
Canada has the expertise and experience to
assist the private sector as well as
governments.
Government financial resources are
limited, even in the wealthy western industrialized countries, and
the private sector often finds itself inadequately protected. The world’s economy is
primarily based on the exchange of goods and trade between nations,
and the transportation of these goods is in the hands of the private
sector. At one time,
the major concern was theft by employees and outside
confederates. From
there, the risk grew to organized crime and now terrorism must be
added to the list of risks to the private sector and the
industrialized world in general.
Security of goods in storage and
goods in transit is vital to the profitability of individual
companies and the global economy in general. Risk from crime and
terrorism may also be a concern in many other private facilities,
i.e., mines, airports, manufacturing sites to name only a few.
Security has many requirements, all of which must be addressed, for
example:
- Effective and
realistic security policy
- Identification of
potential risk factors
- Training of security
and loss prevention management personnel
- Effective audit
procedures
- Training of security
officers
- Security strategies
that can effectively meet new challenges
International Police
College of Canada has instructors and consultants on
staff that can meet all of these requirements.
